Can anyone think of a reason that my upper left eyelid would be twitching every couple hours for the past few days?
Is this, like, an impending sign of doom? Do I need more protein? Am I transmitting radio signals? Is Tom Cruisazy out to get me?
Anybody?

its harmless and nothing to worry about. usually stress-related and caused by a lack of sleep.
Completely harmless. For me it is usually stress. My doctor mentioned it could also be caffeine-related, as in you are either drinking more or less than your body is used to.
More fun to think that Tom Cruise is lining up his next victim, for when Katie gets wise and stops drinking the Kool-Aid.
it’s really annoying. this recently started happening to me as well in the last couple of weeks, left eyelid as well. all i could find online was the stree/fatigue/caffeine explanations as well.
please post if you find some other explanation. unless it’s bad, and then i don’t want to know!
also:
could i *possibly* write ‘as well’ a couple more times in my previous comment?
I’ve definitely been drinking less caffeine than I usually do, and under more work-stress than I usually am!
Too bad it’s not Cruisazy, though. Would LOVE to battle him to the death. Specifically, his.
I think it’s from the leeks =)
When you were sleeping the evil twin sister of the tooth-fairy, the “Twitch Fairy” flittered in your Queens window and sprinkled some magic-manic-eyelid dust on your sleeping figure. There’s nothing to do now, but to get in touch with peaceful-pan, peter’s lesser known younger brother who runs a yoga retreat on the island of lost boys. He knows where to find the Twitch Fairy and just what special, secret, yogic magic, needs to be worked to undo her evil deed.
what everyone else said – it’s eyestrain and/or sleep deprivation. Before we went B A H A M A S I had it every day for weeks on end. Wearing my glasses helped.
That’s right, Xenu is-a-coming and you, being the evil thetan that you are, will be destroyed petit piece by petit piece. It’ll start with the eye twitch and end with exploding volcanoes! Mwuhahahahahaha!
Hail Xenu!
it’s happened to me too. it will pass.
i get it too. actually, mine flared up just the other day. definitely stress, lack of sleep, and sometimes from eyestrain. but mainly stress. it makes me nutty when it happens, and i feel like a tool going around asking people “didja see my eye twitch just now. wait–now, now it’s doing it, look, see!?”
Hey Krissa,
My husband and I have experienced that and his grandmother said an old remedy was to ingest more quinine, which is found in tonic water. It’s a good excuse to have a few cocktails. It seems to work too. The twitching goes away…. or was that consciousness???
Good luck!
We interrupt this blog for a purely extraneous announcement:
MANGO! MANGO! OHMYGOODGOD! MANGO!
That is all. We now return to our regularly scheduled mango . . . errr, blog.
This happens to me often and seems to randomly migrate to different parts of my body. My favourite is when it happens to my lip. I end up doing involuntary half-second Elvis impersonations all day. It’s thrilling really. As everyone else says, it passes and is nothing to worry about really.
this happens whenever you are about to meet someone you haven’t met in a long time (that’s my scientific explanation and one we believe in greece)
